What is Fondant Icing?
Fondant icing has been in existence since the 16th century. It is revered for its incredible ability to mold and shape, as it is extremely pliable. It also stores for a long period of time and can be made into any color and formed into any shape for decorating cakes and desserts. This icing is made primarily from sugar and corn syrup. Fondant has a sweet flavor, yet is unappealing and often removed from the desserts before eating it. While edible, it acts best as a decoration.
