What is Jumbo Shrimp?
Jumbo shrimp are just what the name implies, extra large shrimp. They are ocean dwelling crustaceans with thin shells that must be removed before or after cooking, as the shell is not pleasant to eat. The shrimp is curved like a C when cooked and its slender body is roughly 5 inches in length. The texture of shrimp is firm and has a juicy crunch when chewed. The color is a pinkish white and the flavor is mild, a bit salty, sweet, and ocean-like.
