What is Lavender?
Lavender is a flowering herb that grows in a cluster of thin green stalks with tiny purple flowers that grow about 3/4 of the way up the stalk. Lavender is dried and used in food and drink. Commonly it can be found as tea and may be infused in honey, vinegars and used in desserts of different varieties. The aroma is relaxing, pungent, floral and the flavor is mild, floral and almost minty.
