What is Boiled Ham?
Boiled ham is a mild tasting and less salty ham with a lower fat content, as no additional fat is added. Boiling reduces some of the salt and lends a moist quality to the meat and if not sliced thinly can have a spongy texture. The ham is a light pink color and is commonly used as a deli meat for sandwiches.
