What is Fried Bean Curd?
Fried bean curd is a soy product made from bean curd sheets, also called tofu skin. The bean curd is light golden brown in color and crispy. When fried it resembles a vegan chicharron. The texture is airy, crispy and the flavor is salty and umami. It is used is an appetizer and garnish in Chinese cuisines.
