What is Fried Egg?

Fried eggs are almost always made with chicken eggs, though duck eggs or any other number of cooking egg can be used. A fried egg is made by heating a greased cooking device to a medium, or medium high heat and cracking the egg into the pan. The egg comes out in a rough circle shape with white edges and a small golden/yellow center. Once cooked, the egg has a slightly crispy exterior, and touch of golden brown from the heat. The flavor is mild, sulfurous and umami with a hint of salt.
