What is Herbed Mayo?
Herbed mayo is an extra flavorful version of mayonnaise. Mayonnaise is made from an emulsion of eggs and oil. The oil is slowly added to the eggs to thicken it into a creamy spread. Salt and savory herbs are added for flavor. Mayo is cream colored and has specks of green from the addition of the herbs. The flavor is salty, rich and slightly eggy with zesty herbs, such as basil, chives or thyme.
