What is Nonpareils?
Nonpareils, also called sprinkles, are a sweet ingredient used to decorate desserts. They are roughly the size of a round pin head and have a hard texture that crunches when you bite into it. Occasionally they also come as short skinny sticks of a couple millimeters and in general their shapes can vary. Nonpareils are made of sugar and starch and come in all different colors, including metallic tones.
