What is Prawn Crackers?
Prawn crackers are a South Asian snack made primarily from dried shrimp and flour. These ingredients are powdered, formed into thin round wafers and left to sun or air dry, some are deep fried. The result is a white fluffy and thin crisp, roughly one inch in diameter. The flavor is mild, savory and similar to monosodium glutamate, though this ingredient is traditionally not added.
