What is Rainbow Sprinkles?
Rainbow sprinkles, also known as jimmies, nonpareils and sanding sugar are tiny colored pellets of sugar that are round, or formed into short sticks. They may be any number of colors, including red, green, blue, yellow, pink, orange, white and others. They are hard in texture and have a crunch when you chew them. They taste sugary. Rainbow sprinkles are used as a decoration for sweet baked goods, such as cakes and cupcakes.
