What is Rib Eye Steak?
Rib eye is a cut of steak from beef cattle. As the name implies, this cut is from the rib section. Rib eye is a little bit tougher than other cuts and is made more from connective tissue and fat. The high fat content lends a tenderness to what otherwise might be a tougher texture and creates a tender and juicy cut. Grilling adds a browned outer layer to the meat and imparts extra umami flavor. The steak is best cooked rare or medium.
