What is Whole Wheat Elbows Pasta?
Whole wheat elbow pasta, also called macaroni is a type of pasta made from wheat flour. The pasta a light brown/beige color and shaped like a hollow curved tube, similar to how an elbow is curved. These pastas are less than inch in length and even thinner in width. They are hard when dry and once boiled they become soft while still maintaining their shape. The flavor is bland, nutty and can be slightly salty. Elbow pasta is often served with melted cheese or sauce.
