What is Whole Wheat Farfalle Pasta?
Whole wheat farfalle pasta, also called bowtie pasta, has gained its name due to its bowtie shape with v shaped points along each end. The pasta is a light brown/beige color and made from whole wheat flour. It is hard when dry and once boiled it become soft while still maintaining its form. The flavor is nutty and mild and farfalle is usually served with some kind of Italian sauce or cheese sprinkled on top.
