What is Italian Meatball?
Italian meatballs are usually made with beef and sometimes veal. The ground meat is heavily seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic, onion, parmesan cheese and Italian herbs, such as oregano and basil. The meatballs are then pan cooked, sometimes baked and frozen for easy heating. The meatball is round and 2-3 inches in diameter. The color is a grey-brown. Italian meatballs taste savory, and like beef and herbs. They are traditionally served with tomato sauce.
