What is Plain Bagel?
The bagel is a yeasted bread shaped into an individual serving-sized ring shape of 3.5 to 4.5 inches in diameter. When baked, the bagel becomes puffy and has a sheen on its thin and soft crust. The inside of the bagel chewy and dense, yet light and with a cream color. The flavor is mild, nutty and wheaty. Bagels can be sliced in half and spread with a topping, or eaten whole. Plain bagels have no added flavors.
