What is Poori Bread?
Poori, also spelled puri is a puffed Indian bread made from wheat flour. It is made by forming the dough into a small ball and pressing it into a corn tortilla sized flat. It is then pan fried or deep fried, until the thin poori puffs up and is completely hollow in the center and formed by a thin, slightly crispy exterior with a golden brown color. The flavor is mild and nutty.
