What is Cinnamon Danish?
The cinnamon danish is a multilayered yeast-risen pastry, with a sweet flavor and a sweet cinnamon filling in its indented center. The danish is round with a golden brown outer layer which has a gentle crunch to its texture. The danish originated in Vienna and was brought to Denmark in the 1850's where it evolved into the pastry it is today.
